National programs

The Minnesota Indian Women’s Sexual Assault Coalition is currently funded through the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to provide training and technical assistance (T/TA) through six national programs:

Grantee Specific T/TA:
  • Tribal Sexual Assault Services Program Training & Technical Assistance: Providing T/TA for 41 national Tribal Sexual Assault Services Program grantees
  • Project Beacon: Providing T/TA for 5 national Grantees who are serving urban AI/AN victims of sex trafficking
Open T/TA:
  • MMIP Healing & Response Teams Special Initiative
  • Elevate | Uplift
  • National Tribal Sexual Assault Resource Center 
  • National Tribal Clearinghouse on Sexual Assault

Each T/TA Program is designed to enhance culturally grounded, survivor-centered advocacy, build capacity for social and systemic change, and strategize solutions with best practices on behalf of ALL survivors of sexual violence and exploitation.
